mobile-flatrates Opera Mini 5 wurde nun nativ für Windows Mobile Geräte veröffentlicht. War die Version 5 Beta 2 des Opera Browsers für mobile Endgeräte im Dezember noch als JAVA-Applet zum Download bereit gestellt worden, so ist diese nun als native Version für Windows Mobile 5 und 6 verfügbar.
Unter http://www.opera.com/mini/next/ kann der Opera Mini 5 nun als Standalone-Client herunter geladen werden. Die Vorversion erforderte die Installation einer Java Virtual Machine, welche nun nicht mehr benötigt wird.
Um Installationsprobleme vorzubeugen, empfiehlt es sich eine bereits vorhandene Version des Opera Mini Browsers zu deinstallieren. Der eigenständige Client soll eine verbesserte Geschwindigkeit und eine bessere Bedienbarkeit bringen
